Dedicated to my 1996 Ford Thunderbird LX
The Story starts with my first car, a 1994 Thunderbird LX 3.8L. My parents bought me that car in January, 1999. They paid $4,500, at that time that was an incredible deal for a 1994 Thunderbird. This car took me through couple of years of dedicated service, with minor problems and regular maintenance. But with 120,000 miles and being a V6, I had to look for something more powerfull and lower mileage. I looked at many Firebirds (my dad used to own one and I loved the power of it) and Camaros and even Mustangs, but couldn't find the comfort of a Thunderbird. Finally I spotted a 1996 Thunderbird LX with the 4.6l with 79,000miles for only $6,500. After couple of weeks of waiting and negotiating I bougth the Bird for $5,900, and with it came the new era for me. I'll always remember the date that I purchased the car on, it was exactly 10 days after the Sep.11 tragedy, which is September 21 of 2001, making this unforgetfull event .
You'll find info and pictures of both of my Birds on this site, I still own both of them but in the near future I plan on getting rid of my 1994 3.8l, even though I really don't want to.
I also own a 1989 Pontiac Grand Prix, which is used for winter and other bad driving conditions.
